What are most common foot problems that you treat?
Toenail problems—ingrown toenails curve into the skin around the nail causing irritation and infection.
Thick, Fungal Nails—nails become thickened by a fungal infection-the same fungus that causes Athletes Foot
Corns and Calluses—thickened growths of hard skin caused by irritation-corns form on the toes and calluses are found on the bottom of the feet
Bunions—There is two components-there is an enlarged “bump” on the inside of the foot and the great toe becomes crooked and leans towards the lesser toes
Hammertoes—toes that curl-in a “cocked–up position”—often leading to corns
Diabetic Foot Problems—diabetics are more prone to serious foot problems such as infection, foot ulcers and amputation-due to poor circulation and neuropathy
Peripheral Neuropathy—Damage to the nerves, mostly in the feet-causing, pain, burning, tingling and numbness
Plantar fasciitis—Heel Pain-Heel Spurs-Pain on the bottom of the heel-pain is usually worse in the morning when taking the first few steps
Flat feet—Arch Pain—there are 26 bones in each foot which are held together by ligaments, muscles and tendons. When these structures do not adequately support the bones, a flat foot occurs which can lead to foot problems and pain
