Dr. Marc Spitz is a nationally renowned podiatrist who has been answering patient questions at his podiatry practice in Seal Beach, California  for the past 34 years. 

Dr. Spitz is a member of the American Academy of Pain Management and serves as Facilitator of the Peripheral Neuropathy Support Group in Orange County, California. He addresses foot health issues and has contributed many articles on foot care in local newspapers and in the Neuropathy News Letter. He is also the co-author of the Numb Foot Book.

Peripheral Neuropathy (PN) affects two million people in the U.S.,14 typically middle-aged and elderly individuals. It is a neurological disorder that affects the sensory, motor and/or autonomic nerves, and is caused by abnormal function of these nerves due to various etiologies.

These disorders can originate from numerous causes, such as diabetes, alcoholism, HIV, toxin exposure, metabolic abnormalities, vitamin deficiency, or adverse effects of certain drugs.
